The following are the loan periods for circulation materials at the Fox Lake District Library:
- Books: adult, young adult, juvenile: twenty one (21) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- Magazines: current issue may not be borrowed; back issues, twenty one (21) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- New Adult Fiction Books:
- Seven (7) days if under 400 pages, renewable once if not reserved.
- Fourteen (14) days if over 400 pages, renewable once if not reserved.
- Audio Items: twenty one (21) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- DVDs and Blu-Rays:
- Regular collection: fourteen (14) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- Non-fiction: fourteen (14) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- New release Fiction: seven (7) days, non-renewable, only able to be reserved by Fox Lake Public Library District card holders.
- Interlibrary Loan Items: circulation period set by lending library. May be renewed one time at the lending library’s discretion.
- Video Games: seven (7) days, renewable once, unable to be reserved.
- Launchpads: fourteen (14) days, unable to be renewed or reserved.
- Wonderbooks: twenty one (21) days, renewable once if not reserved.
- Tonieboxes: fourteen (14) days, unable to be renewed or reserved.
Library materials may be renewed at the library, online, or by telephone. Renew prior to the due date to avoid overdue fines.
