One Card. Endless Possibilities.
Each September, libraries across the nation celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, a campaign that highlights the power of a library card. Timed with the back-to-school season, it reminds families that a library card is one of the most valuable tools a student can carry.
A library card opens the door to endless opportunities: books, digital resources, technology, and educational programs that support learning inside and outside the classroom. For children, it sparks creativity, builds literacy, and inspires a lifelong love of reading. For adults, it provides access to resources that fuel personal growth, new interests, and continuing education—all free with a card.
Whether you’re returning to school, starting a new hobby, or simply curious to learn more, September is the perfect time to discover what your library card can do for you. Truly, one card offers endless possibilities.
Food for Fines Program
- Each September, you can reduce overdue fines while helping our community. Donate food, waive fines—it’s that simple.
- Donate unopened, unexpired, non-perishable food items.
- Each item = $1 waived (up to $15 per card, per program).
- Applies to overdue fines only (not lost or damaged items).
Give donations directly to library staff. Please don’t leave items at entrances or in book drops.
