Program Description

Event Details

This informative and interactive presentation introduces the affordable and easy gardening method of WINTER SOWING—a technique using recycled containers to start seeds outdoors during the winter months. The program will emphasize the factors that influence seed germination and will demonstrate the basics of creating mini-greenhouses to work with Mother Nature’s own rhythms and cycles to grow beautiful flowers that thrive in local climates, even before the spring begins. Each attendee will create and take home two milk jug mini-greenhouses, prepped and planted with carefully selected seeds that are ideal for successful winter sowing in USDA Zone 5.

All materials, soil, seeds and checklists are included.
